# Creating a new release

* Run through the [QA Checklist](*https://www.forgett.com/checklist/1789089623)
* Assuming it worked, merge the master branch into the production branch
* Create a new release (targeting the production branch) and link to the corresponding sprint
* Create a new [disk image](https://github.com/Screenly/screenly-ose/blob/master/docs/create-disk-image.md) based on the new changes
* Upload the new disk image to the release above
* Upload the disk image to the NOOBS repository
* Write a blog post on screenly.io and announce the new release on social media
