tests-qwen3-tts-cpp has been failing on master since 2026-07-31. The suite
loads every component fine and then stops: TTS() never returns from the
native call, so a job that takes ~5 minutes runs into the 20 minute Go test
timeout instead.
goroutine 74 [syscall, 19 minutes]:
github.com/ebitengine/purego.RegisterFunc.func4
qwen3-tts-cpp.(*Qwen3TtsCpp).TTS goqwen3ttscpp.go:154
qwen3-tts-cpp.init.func2.4 e2e_test.go:90
Not a flake: reproduced on master and again on an explicit re-run.
Bisected across this cycle's eight qwentts.cpp bumps by their own check:
10832, 10850, 10902, 10964, 11006, 11039 and 11127 all pass in ~5 minutes;
11241 (abab6b3) fails at 1h58m. That PR was merged with this check already
red, which is how the hang reached master.
35ebe537..abab6b3 is three upstream commits, and the only functional one is
26dd8adb, "predictor: unroll the frame into one cgraph and sample in standard
ops", which is consistent with a generation loop that never reaches its stop
condition.
Hold the pin at the last known-good commit. The bump entry is commented out
rather than left in place, because it tracks upstream master and would put
the hang straight back on the next nightly run. Both spots carry a pointer to
the other so the hold is discoverable, and restoring it is uncommenting four
lines once upstream is fixed.

refactor(backends): extract shared package-system-libs.sh from package.sh
The arch-detect-and-copy-system-libs block (Darwin rpath / x86_64 / aarch64
loader + libc/libstdc++/libgcc_s/libm/libgomp/libdl/librt/libpthread) was
inlined verbatim in 31 backend package.sh scripts. Extract it into a single
sourced scripts/build/package-system-libs.sh, the CPU-side counterpart to
scripts/build/package-gpu-libs.sh and its sourcing contract.
Consolidating the copies fixes three drift classes that had crept in:
- libgcc_s.so.1 and libstdc++.so.6 were listed twice in 9 backends
(acestep-cpp, crispasr, moss-tts-cpp, omnivoice-cpp, piper,
qwen3-tts-cpp, silero-vad, stablediffusion-ggml, whisper); the shared
script copies each once.
- libgomp.so.1 was omitted from opus. OpenMP consumers dlopen it rather
than link it, so the missing copy only failed at runtime; the shared
script always includes it.
- the Darwin @loader_path/lib rpath was applied only in piper and
silero-vad; both now pass their packaged binary to the shared script,
preserving that behavior. Every other backend passes an empty binary
path so no rpath is added, preserving its current behavior.
Each backend's pre/post packaging steps (binary copy, run.sh, ldd closure
walks, ggml variant bundling, espeak/OpenBLAS extras, the ds4 validate step)
are preserved verbatim; only the inline if/elif/else arch block is replaced
by a single source line.

* feat(ui): add voice library workflow
Give administrators a production-ready flow to record or upload consented reference audio, manage reusable profiles, inspect API usage, discover compatible models, and hand a saved voice directly to text-to-speech.
Assisted-by: Codex:gpt-5
* feat(voice): add managed voice cloning profiles
Make reusable reference voices manageable through the admin API instead of requiring model-directory and YAML edits. Discover compatible installed and gallery models from server-side backend capabilities, retain explicit model configuration controls, and stage saved references for supported backends.
Expose profile management through REST and MCP, document backend-specific behavior, and cover the workflow from profile creation through real Qwen3-TTS synthesis. Harden the agent-job HTTP test against completion racing cancellation.

qwen3-tts-cpp, omnivoice-cpp, acestep-cpp and vibevoice-cpp shipped
rocm-* variants that silently ran on CPU ([Load] backend: CPU). Two
coupled defects:
- The Makefiles passed -DGGML_HIPBLAS=ON, but the vendored ggml only
understands -DGGML_HIP=ON (GGML_HIPBLAS was removed upstream), so the
ggml-hip backend target was never created and no GPU code was built.
- The CMake foreach that links the ggml GPU backends into the module
listed blas/cuda/metal/vulkan but not hip, so even a built ggml-hip
would not have been linked and its static backend registration would
never run.
CUDA users were unaffected because cublas passes the correct GGML_CUDA=ON
and the foreach already links cuda. Mirror the proven llama-cpp hipblas
block (ROCm clang CC/CXX + AMDGPU_TARGETS) and add hip to each foreach.
Upstream picks the best device via ggml_backend_init_best(), so no
runtime flag is needed once HIP is compiled and linked.

fix(backends): quote $CURDIR in run.sh so backends work in paths with spaces
The backend launcher scripts derive their own directory with
CURDIR=$(dirname "$(realpath $0)") and then referenced it unquoted as
$CURDIR (e.g. [ -f $CURDIR/lib/ld.so ], export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$CURDIR/lib:...,
exec $CURDIR/<binary> "$@"). When a backend is installed under a path that
contains a space - notably macOS's ~/Library/Application Support/... - bash
word-splits the unquoted $CURDIR, so the test builtin fails with
"binary operator expected" and exec tries to run ".../Library/Application",
yielding "No such file or directory". The backend never starts, surfacing as
a gRPC "service not ready" error and an HTTP 500. Quote $CURDIR (and the
realpath "$0") in every affected run.sh; no logic changes.

* fix(parakeet-cpp): darwin/metal support (libparakeet.dylib + DYLD path)
The parakeet-cpp backend had no macOS support and panicked at startup on
Apple/Metal nodes when purego.Dlopen could not find "libparakeet.so".
Fix it across the same four layers the sibling voxtral backend already
handles correctly:
- main.go: default the dlopen target to libparakeet.dylib on darwin
(runtime.GOOS), libparakeet.so elsewhere; PARAKEET_LIBRARY still wins.
- Makefile: also stage the built libparakeet.dylib next to the Go sources.
- package.sh: accept either the Linux .so[.X.Y] or the macOS .dylib when
bundling instead of hard-failing when no .so is present (the macOS case);
note that on Darwin only system frameworks are linked.
- run.sh: on Darwin set DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH and PARAKEET_LIBRARY to the
packaged .dylib; keep LD_LIBRARY_PATH + .so on Linux.
Mirrors backend/go/voxtral.

* fix(backends): darwin/metal support across purego Go backends
The parakeet-cpp fix in the previous commit was an instance of a bug
shared by nearly every purego/dlopen Go backend: the dlopen target was
hardcoded to a .so name and run.sh exported only LD_LIBRARY_PATH, so the
backend panicked at startup on macOS/Apple-Metal nodes (dyld needs the
.dylib name and DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH). voxtral was the only backend handling
this correctly.
Apply the same four-layer fix (mirroring backend/go/voxtral) to the
remaining affected backends:
whisper, sherpa-onnx, ced, stablediffusion-ggml, vibevoice-cpp,
qwen3-tts-cpp, omnivoice-cpp, crispasr, acestep-cpp, locate-anything-cpp,
depth-anything-cpp, rfdetr-cpp, sam3-cpp, localvqe
Per backend:
- main.go (sherpa-onnx: backend.go, two libraries): default the dlopen
target to the .dylib on darwin (runtime.GOOS), .so elsewhere; the
existing <BACKEND>_LIBRARY env override still wins.
- run.sh: on Darwin set DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH and point <BACKEND>_LIBRARY at
the packaged .dylib; keep LD_LIBRARY_PATH + the Linux CPU-variant
(avx/avx2/avx512) selection unchanged in the else branch.
- package.sh: also bundle the .dylib and stop hard-failing when no .so is
present (the macOS case).
- Makefile: also stage the built .dylib.
Notes:
- stablediffusion-ggml and acestep-cpp build their lib as a CMake MODULE,
which emits .so (not .dylib) on macOS; run.sh prefers .dylib and falls
back to .so so both layouts work.
- sherpa-onnx was already partly darwin-aware (Makefile/package.sh); only
run.sh and the two dlopen defaults needed fixing.
Linux behavior is unchanged. Verified gofmt-clean and
`CGO_ENABLED=0 go build` for every backend.

The qwen3-tts.cpp backend honored the request `language` field only via exact lowercase two-letter codes in the C++ language_to_id table, silently defaulting to English for anything else (en-US, EN, english, ...).
Add normalizeLanguage() in the Go handler: lowercase + trim, strip the region/locale suffix (en-US, pt_BR, zh-Hans -> en/pt/zh), and resolve common English full names (english -> en). The canonical codes match the existing C++ table, so no C++ change is needed. Covered by a pure-Go Ginkgo spec. Also document the language field and accepted forms under the Qwen3-TTS docs.
