adds --dump screen.pdf and CDP's Page.printToPDF (along with IO.read and
IO.read). Builds ontop of https://github.com/lightpanda-io/browser/pull/3231
This generates a text-based PDF, not just our PNG placed into a PDF. The biggest
change to the existing (isolated) code was adding href information so that links
are actually clickable.
Like 3231 the hard parts are all Claude but isolated. The one place it diverged
from the plan was NOT using the subsetter rust crate for trimming the size of
the embedded font. It felt that the dependencies were too much (e.g. a second
version of skrifa, ...). One subsetter was removed, the pdf rendering, while
still a blackbox, was moved from Rust to Zig (pdf.zig), which is kind of nice.
The agent section still listed the provider set from a few releases ago,
omitting Vercel AI Gateway, Mistral, llama.cpp and OPENAI_BASE_URL-based
OpenAI-compatible endpoints. Add them with examples, plus --list-models.
Prompted by #3290.
The `run` subcommand is the intended way to replay a recorded
PandaScript (`agent <script>.js` still works, but `run` carries no LLM
options and states the intent). Update the generated script-writing
skill, the recorder doc comment, and the README accordingly.
Track active connections and shut down sockets during deinit to unblock
pending reads. Drain the job queue properly before stopping the worker.
Also fix `--http-port` references to `--port` in docs and errors.
Introduces an HTTP transport option to serve multipleagents from a
single process. Each connection is routed to its own isolated
browsing session using the `Mcp-Session-Id` header.
Also adds new session management tools (`session_new`, `session_list`,
`session_close`) and refactors the MCP server to support multiple V8
isolates with parking.
Replace recorded agent replay with a standalone JavaScript script runtime.
Install synchronous agent primitives in an isolated V8 context, add console
output, return structured extract values as JS objects/arrays, and route script
execution through the new runtime.
Update recording to emit .js function calls, default /save filenames to .js,
drop script-level extract save support, and refresh agent docs/tutorials for
the new format.
Self-healing is disabled for now.
This is to pave the way for introducing a new "Page" container, which will take
over the page lifecycle currently burdening Session. The ultimate goal of that
is to allow the Session to have multiple pages (mostly for better transitions
between pages), which is hard to do now since the Session has so much state.
This rename was aggressive, e.g. currentPage() -> currentFrame() so that, when
the new Page container is added, you won't see "currentPage()" and wonder:
"Does 'currentPage' mean the new Page container, or the Frame (which
used to be called Page)".
Closes#2166
The Linux release binary is linked against glibc, so musl-based distros
(Alpine and similar) hit 'cannot execute: required file not found' on
first run because the glibc dynamic linker is missing.
Adds a note to the install section directing Alpine users to a
glibc-based base image or the build-from-sources path.
