Ben Meadors d4de61362b fix(mesh): plug pooled-object and driver leaks in core paths (#11450)
- MeshService::sendQueueStatusToPhone: release the pooled QueueStatus
  when the toPhone queue enqueue fails, matching what
  sendMqttMessageToClientProxy and sendClientNotification already do.
  The full-queue guard makes this failure rare, but the check/enqueue
  sequence is not atomic and this path is reachable concurrently from
  the main loop and the nRF52 BLE write callback; each failure
  permanently lost one of the four pool slots, and after four losses
  the phone never receives QueueStatus again until reboot.

- MessageStore::storeTextInPool: bail out when the boot-time pool
  allocation failed instead of memcpy'ing through a null pointer. The
  read side (getTextFromPool) already guards and maps offset 0 to an
  empty string.

- RF95Interface: hold the RadioLibRF95 driver in a unique_ptr. It is
  constructed in init(), and when init() subsequently fails (e.g. chip
  probe NOT_FOUND) initLoRa() destroys the interface, leaking the
  driver; every sibling interface holds its driver by value so nothing
  else needed a destructor here.

Fixes #11371

* fix(lora): latch the ISR-armed flag instead of tracking attach state

The flag is now written once from task context and only read from ISR context.

cd716fe384 logging: audit log strings for terseness, reclaiming ~6.8 KB of string data (#11374)
* logging: strip redundant punctuation, level prefixes, and 'successfully' from log strings

The logger already appends a newline and prints the level tag, so
trailing '.', '!', '...', literal \n, and 'Error:'/'Warning:' prefixes
inside format strings are wasted flash bytes. Same for 'successfully'
(the affirmative form already implies it).

* logging: tighten verbose log strings in modules, radio, platform, and system code

Rewrite wordy log messages to terser equivalents - drop filler words
(articles, 'attempting', 'due to', 'please'), use 'Can't X'/'X failed'
phrasing, and abbreviate where the codebase already does (config, init,
msg, BT). Format specifiers and argument lists are unchanged; distinctive
greppable tokens are preserved.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01LBiZc9sfPrH1MZ2L3Fxgt1

* logging: tighten verbose log strings in telemetry sensors and GPS

Same terseness pass: drop filler, 'Can't X'/'X failed' phrasing, common
abbreviations (temp, msg). Specifiers, arguments, and sensor-name
prefixes unchanged.

* logging: tighten verbose log strings in mesh core

Same terseness pass over NodeDB, Router, MeshService, PhoneAPI,
RadioInterface, NextHopRouter, and PacketHistory: 'X failed'/'Can't X'
phrasing, imperative verbs, dropped filler. Specifiers and arguments
unchanged; duplicate literals kept identical to preserve linker string
dedup.

* logging: restore boot-logo trailing newline and progress-dot strings

The terseness pass over-trimmed: the Meshtastic ASCII boot logo kept its
blank line via a trailing \n, and three bare "." progress ticks were
reduced to empty strings.

* logging: address review feedback on the terseness audit

- Node/packet IDs use the repo's 0x%08x convention in NextHopRouter,
  NodeDB, AdminModule and CannedMessageModule. The sibling log in each
  if/else pair is converted too, so a pair isn't split across two formats.
  next_hop stays 0x%x - it's the last-byte relay hint, not a NodeNum.
- RTC: the read-path and set-path "not found" warnings were byte-identical,
  so the linker deduped them and the log couldn't say which one fired.
  Split into "RTC read:" / "RTC set:". (The four sites live in mutually
  exclusive #ifdef branches, so the RTC family was never ambiguous.)
- SCD4X getAmbientPressure()/setAmbientPressure() logged "altitude", and
  SCD30 getASC() logged "Can't send command" for a read. Both now name the
  operation they actually perform.
- LOG_ERROR already carries the level: ". Error: %u" -> ", rc=%u" (matching
  the existing rc=%d house style) and "Error executing X()" -> "X() failed".
- Typos and wording: "OTA partiton. (Reason" -> "OTA partition (reason",
  "CST3530 not response ~" -> "CST3530 no response", "Packet received with
  to: of 0" -> "to=0", HostMetrics "Error decoding" -> "Can't decode", and
  the dangling ": " on the NextHopRouter retransmission line.

Printf specifier sequences are byte-identical on all 37 touched lines apart
from the 6 deliberate %x/%u -> %08x node-ID widenings, all on uint32_t args.

a640d44b5c Add T-Beam BPF - 144-148 Mhz LoRa @ ~37 dBm (5 Watts) (#10558)
* Add T-Beam BPF (144-148 Mhz LoRa)

* minor correction to fix compiler warnings

* Add T-Beam BPF (144-148 Mhz LoRa)

* minor correction to fix compiler warnings

* Add ITU regions for this device and make GPS work.

* Switch pin after defining it as output

Co-authored-by: Copilot Autofix powered by AI <175728472+Copilot@users.noreply.github.com>

* Lora CS is indeed 1, SD Card CS is 10

* Include the back option.

* Fix compilation with pioarduino (USB_MODE)

* Default ham to narrow_fast

* Default PROFILE_HAM to slot 17

This is an appropriate default in the USA but not the EU.

The slot override really should follow the region itself, not the regionprofile.

* Fix for ITU 2/3 split

* Add ITU region options to MenuAction enum

* Add HAS_HAM_2M definition to variant headers for 2M support

* Re-add PROFILE_HAM regionprofile

Accidentally removed in last merge

* Trunk fmt

* Initial default slots

* Switch to TinyFast

Still need to flesh out the default channels

* Adjust slotOverrides for TinyFast

* RadioLib doesn't accept 15.625 kHz

Use 15.6 instead

* Set RF95 pins for T-Beam Supreme

May cause regressions!!

* Remove other-variant changes (BPF-only)

These have been moved to other PRs

* Remove mismatch guarding (we need a more comprehensive approach)

* Add comment back

* Add template for PA curve

* This is a 5-6W radio!! Add TX_GAIN_LORA

* Trunk fmt because NomDeTom hates emdashes

982440d21d Noise floor (#9347)
* add noise floor

* Sliding window noise floor

* Add getCurrentRSSI() to SimRadio for noise floor support

* Remove sendLocalStatsToPhone call from runOnce

* Change noise floor to int32_t type

* Use int32_t for RSSI sample storage in noise floor

* Remove float cast from noise floor assignment

* Fix Copilot review issues: fix noise floor logic, types, and null pointer

- Use robust busyTx/busyRx checks instead of simple isReceiving check
- Initialize noiseFloorSamples to NOISE_FLOOR_MIN instead of 0
- Move noise_floor assignment inside null check to prevent potential crash
- Change getNoiseFloor() and getAverageNoiseFloor() to return int32_t
- Fix RSSI validation to check for positive values (rssi > 0)
- Fix format specifier from %.1f to %d for int32_t
- Update comments to accurately reflect the sampling logic

* Fix RSSI condition to include zero value

* Change noise floor initialization to zero

* Disable noise floor for LR11x0 chips: getRSSI(bool) unsupported

* Remove updateNoiseFloor call from onNotify to avoid radio queue overflow

Per PR review feedback, calling updateNoiseFloor() in onNotify() for every
ISR event (ISR_TX, ISR_RX, TRANSMIT_DELAY_COMPLETED) can cause the LoRa
radio queue to get full. The noise floor sampling still happens in
startReceive() and after transmitting.

* fix lr11x0 current rssi

* Address noise floor review comments

* Address Copilot SimRadio noise floor comments

* Fix RadioLibInterface formatting

Andrew YongandBen Meadors e29588d2e2 feat(RadioInterface): Tx power gain calculation rework (#6796)
- Rename REGULATORY_GAIN_LORA to TX_GAIN_LORA
- Move gain-based Tx power clamping from RadioInterface::applyModemConfig() to RadioInterface::limitPower()
  - User-configured Tx power now matches the Tx power out of the device connector
- Re-order [LoRa Chip]Interface.cpp limitPower() to take place before the final Tx power clamping so we clamp based on the pre-PA Tx power rather than user-configured Tx power

Tested on XIAO BLE variant.

without this flag if the user has set some other formatter (clang)
in their user level settings, it will be looking in the wrong directory
for the clang options (we want the options in .trunk/clang)

Note: formatOnSave is true in master, which means a bunch of our older
files are non compliant and if you edit them it will generate lots of
formatting related diffs. I guess I'll start letting that happen with
my future commits ;-).

* add PowerStress module

* nrf52 arduino is built upon freertos, so let platformio debug it

* don't accidentally try to Segger ICE if we are using another ICE

* clean up RedirectablePrint::log so it doesn't have three very different implementations inline.

* remove NoopPrint - it is no longer needed

* when talking to API clients via serial, don't turn off log msgs instead encapsuate them

* fix the build - would loop forever if there were no files to send

* don't use Segger code if not talking to a Segger debugger

* when encapsulating logs, make sure the strings always has nul terminators

* nrf52 soft device will watchdog if you use ICE while BT on...
so have debugger disable bluetooth.

* Important to not print debug messages while writing to the toPhone scratch buffer

* don't include newlines if encapsulating log records as protobufs

* update to latest protobufs (needed for powermon goo)
