Matthew Wall 0367c167a9 as per debian guidelines, put the daemon stop in prerm, but the daemon removal in postrm. ensure that both systemd and sysv work on debian systems, for both deb and pip installs. try to keep lintian happy, but it seems to have differences between deb10 and deb12.
