RADIO_SPI_BULK_ACTIVE only ever restated RADIO_SPI_BULK plus the architecture check, so the two tracked each other and the boot log needed a three-term condition to say anything. Default RADIO_SPI_BULK to 1 on Portduino instead, and the one macro guards everything. Setting it on an architecture with no buffered call used to be silently ignored; it is now an #error that names the reason. Builds verified: tracker-t1000-e off and on, tbeam-s3-core on, rak4631 on, native, and the #error confirmed firing on senselora_rp2040.
Overview
This repository contains the official device firmware for Meshtastic, an open-source LoRa mesh networking project designed for long-range, low-power communication without relying on internet or cellular infrastructure. The firmware supports various hardware platforms, including ESP32, nRF52, RP2040/RP2350, and Linux-based devices.
Meshtastic enables text messaging, location sharing, and telemetry over a decentralized mesh network, making it ideal for outdoor adventures, emergency preparedness, and remote operations.
