Button E was PIN_BUTTON1 with a hand-rolled FunctionButton map in InputBroker (single press: ping, double: privacy toggle, 5 s hold: shutdown). The rotary encoder already drives the UI, so define the pin as CANCEL_BUTTON_PIN instead and drop the M8 special case: a press now cancels and a 4 s hold shuts down, through the generic cancel button. variant_shutdown() follows the rename so the wake-on-press pin is still parked and sensed. Overview
This repository contains the official device firmware for Meshtastic, an open-source LoRa mesh networking project designed for long-range, low-power communication without relying on internet or cellular infrastructure. The firmware supports various hardware platforms, including ESP32, nRF52, RP2040/RP2350, and Linux-based devices.
Meshtastic enables text messaging, location sharing, and telemetry over a decentralized mesh network, making it ideal for outdoor adventures, emergency preparedness, and remote operations.
