A parity belongs to the packet being queued, the way priority and tx_after do, so put it there: MeshPacket.slot_parity, set by whoever queues the packet and read by the driver when it draws that packet's backoff. That removes the machinery the hook needed. RadioTxHook::slotParity() and its fan-out are gone, and so is DMShellTxHook with its id-keyed claim ring, which only existed because a hook is asked about a packet whose payload is already encrypted and so has to recognise its own frames by id. DMShell now sets packet->slot_parity in sendFrameToPeer(), beside the priority it already sets. Needs meshtastic/protobufs#1123 and a submodule bump once that merges; the generated header here was produced with nanopb 0.4.9.1 from the pinned submodule commit plus that enum and field. Overview
This repository contains the official device firmware for Meshtastic, an open-source LoRa mesh networking project designed for long-range, low-power communication without relying on internet or cellular infrastructure. The firmware supports various hardware platforms, including ESP32, nRF52, RP2040/RP2350, and Linux-based devices.
Meshtastic enables text messaging, location sharing, and telemetry over a decentralized mesh network, making it ideal for outdoor adventures, emergency preparedness, and remote operations.
