This use of symlinks to ensure that the canonicalized paths of `$XDG_CACHE_HOME`, `$XDG_CONFIG_HOME`, `$XDG_DATA_HOME` are `~/.cache`, `~/.config`, `~/.local/share` is the sort of thing that could easily regress if not tested. Signed-off-by: Simon McVittie <smcv@collabora.com>
