Yes. Designed for E-ink but works on any Android 8.0+ device. Looks especially good on OLED.
No. inkOS is an Android app, a launcher. It only changes the look of your home screen and how you navigate to your apps. It does not replace Android, modify your data, or affect other apps or accounts on your device.
On first launch, onboarding asks you to enable Notification Access in Android settings so inkOS can show notifications on Home, Letters, and Simple Tray. Everything else (contacts, calendar, files, and so on) is optional and only requested when you turn on the feature that uses it. Nothing leaves your device. Full list.
Yes. Any icon pack from the Play Store works. You can also use system icons, inkOS tinted style, or text-only letters.
Yes. You can choose either a built-in inkOS widget or any standard Android widget. One widget on the home screen, so it stays clean.
inkOS Settings, Advanced, Change default launcher. Or through Android Settings, Apps, Default apps, Home. Nothing permanent changed.
